On Africa

Africa is not the place most people see it as. The continent pillaged for slave labor, divided by imperialism, and ravaged by war for decades has experienced poverty, human rights abuses, and other issues as a result of its past. Africans are seeking to make this the decade they prepare for the future. Democracies are forming, economies growing, equality improving, etc. However, much remains to be done.

Africa is home to the earliest civilizations, the second-largest continent with the second-largest human population. No past was so undeserved and no future so comparably bright. If this progress it to be expedited and exponentially increased, people around the world must unlearn the stereotypes and familiarize themselves with the facts presented in the form of problems and solutions.

Africa. What more is there to say? Africa is a place of great natural beauty and great cultural diversity, the home of friendly people making their own way in the world. With this project, I aim to reciprocate this good will and leave the world a little better than I entered it.
